Rhian Brynjolson (she/her) is a visual artist, book illustrator, author, art educator and science communicator. Rhian is the author of Teaching Art: a Complete Guide for the Classroom, and has illustrated fifteen children’s books, including The Gift of the Little People, and Amō’s Sapotawan, both written by William Dumas and published by HighWater Press (Portage&Main Books) in 2022. Rhian has exhibited her work in diverse venues, including a collaborative exhibit with artists and scientists at ArtsPlace in Canmore, AB in 2022; at the Global Water Futures Finale in Saskatoon in May, 2023; and through ongoing participation in the VirtualWaterGallery.com. She works with the River on the Run artist collective, making and performing art to raise awareness of environmental concerns affecting the Lake Winnipeg watershed.
